
Cecilia Garrison RMT (she/her) Registered Massage Therapist
Cecilia graduated from Sutherland Chan School of Massage Therapy in Toronto in 2017, and has proudly been helping people manage their pain and dysfunction ever since. She also holds a certificate in Neurofunctional Acupuncture from McMaster and has continued to learn about pain management and rehabilitation science over the course of her career.
Cecilia’s treatments incorporate a variety of methods and techniques, tailored to your specific needs and goals. She strongly values Evidence Based Practice and Client Centered Care.
Cecilia also has experience as a Professor of Massage Therapy at Humber College, where she developed and taught a wide variety of courses – including Research Projects, Clinical Skills & Techniques, Business for Health Professionals, and Massage Therapy for Special Populations. She has also supervised students clinical placements at both Humber and Sutherland Chan, and been invited to develop course curriculums for the new Massage Therapy program at Loyalist College.
Prior to becoming an RMT, Cecilia obtained her Bachelor of Social Work, and gained experience in community mental health care as part of an interdisciplinary Assertive Community Treatment Team.
Cecilia is also a lifelong dancer, who believes that movement, music, and self expression are key to a healthy lifestyle. When not at the clinic you can find her teaching a dance class, performing with her punk rock band, or at home with her two cats – Mikhail and Arkady.
